Crocheted Easter Bunnies for my bunny-loving daughter. The white one really gave me a couple problems and I think it's because I crocheted through both loops and on the "male" one I only crocheted through the back loops. It made attaching the arms, legs and ears so much harder BUT with it being white there was just too much space between and I didn't like the way it looked. Not sure why the brown one seemed okay with just the back loops. Anyway, I added a top hat since it looked a little funny to me without something! I think if I did this again I would also do the noses differently - again, I followed the pattern for the nose and it didn't really work for me. Maybe a button nose or doing something like the tail but smaller...? Oh Well! Happy Easter Jesa Mae!!!

Crisscross Apple Crowns
Thank you Jesa for inspiring me to get into the kitchen! After browsing the Taste of Home magazine I chose a couple recipes - starting with these yummy apple treats. Unfortunately I can't share these with Jesa because they have nuts! Aww nuts!!
Mixed together the apples, walnuts, raisins, sugar, flour, cinnamon and a dash of salt
Flattened 8 large flaky biscuits (sorry no pic)- filled them with the above ingredients, a swipe of melted butter along with sugar/cinnamon sprinkled on top and TaDa!!
Baked at 350 for 19 minutes
Cooled for 5 and then enjoyed!!! Very Good!

Happy Birthday Jason
Several weeks ago Jesa and I were walking around JoAnns (one of our favorite past times!) AND we happened upon the Cricut for SALE!!! I've wanted one of these for a very long time - I just didn't like the price tag attached to it. But I could justify the $80 sale price and we each got one! Jesa in all her internet awesomeness found a great web site with totally reduced cartridges! I would mention the web site if only I could remember! I ordered one that popped out at me called "Pagoda" and could not resist using it when I needed some inspiration for Jason's birthday card. Since I LOVE trees this one brings me smiles. I'm sure I'll be going a little cricut crazy in the weeks and months to come. HAPPY 29th Jason!!!

Picture Hanging made better!
I had an image in my head since I bought this picture to have it hung a certain way - well, I had someone help me with it but it was never right. Jesa looked at it and said she could fix it! Yippie! No surprise - that girl is talented! We still need to do a little trimming but that's for another day.
11/50 Jesa's Blanket
About 6 weeks ago, Jesa asked me to make her a crocheted blanket. I love when I can make something for my kids that they really want - I think it reminds me of when my mom sewed me a bunch of Barbie clothes one Christmas - I still have those!
So as in any project it all begins with the first stitch!
And then it grows...
And grows....
TaDA!
Happy Girl! I really enjoyed doing this.

10/50 Easter Wreath
First step is cutting the paper
Painting the base
Mod Podge - I wouldn't recommend this! It was crazy messy - I think I would do it differently next time around but I did like the end result.
Lots of hot gluing!
Finished!
Thanks Jesa for organizing my craft area! Love it Love it Love it!!!!!!

New Things
With the help of my beautiful daughter I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and learning new things (nothing new - my children have taught me my most important lessons for the last 29 years!) So with baby steps I am starting my first ever blog! Excitement mixed with a little dread! here I go!
February 24, 11 - we had a snow day! Hank was not happy - he created little and big snowballs on his feet and tummy. It took half an hour to clean him up.
Pretty!
I'm sure this will all be gone in 24 hours!
